Founded in 1987, Quest develops, manufactures and supports software used by IT professionals in a variety of industries. Quest offers products that develop, manage, monitor and protect packaged and custom software applications, as well as associated software infrastructure components, such as databases, application servers, operating systems and hypervisors. Quest has also invested in technology areas such as virtualization, cloud automation and backup and recovery.

Quest has a worldwide presence, with more than 60 offices in 23 countries and reports a customer base of more than 100,000. As of December 2010, Quest has 3,503 full-time employees worldwide and annual revenues of $767 million.
